- Classify normal and abnormal immune responses and functions in childhood disorders
- Examine the role of immunology-related abnormalities in childhood disorders
- Understand immune deficiency and the role it plays in autism and related childhood disorders
- Examine various auto-antibodies reported in some children with autism and related conditions
- Review autoimmune and inflammatory abnormalities as they pertain to autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders
- Understand the definition of PANS/PANDAS in children and review laboratory testing and treatments for PANS/PANDAS
- Evaluate various laboratory assessments and biomarkers as they relate to immunology
- Identify and review various treatments for immunological abnormalities and examine methods to implement immunological related treatments into clinical practice
- Review actual case histories of patients with autism and other neuro developmental problems to understand appropriate testing, workup and treatments as related to immunology
