The Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS) will be returning to Sydney for its annual practitioner training. Sessions will provide advanced training for those who trained with MAPS in Australia in 2013 & 2015 as well as education on the fundamentals for newcomers.

For the 3rd year in Australia, MAPS will provide a clinic-focused, evidence-based training for practitioners wanting to be among the best-prepared clinicians in the field of complex Pediatric conditions. Dieticians, Doctors, Chiropractors, Naturopaths, Nurses, Nutritionists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Health Professionals, Researchers and students are invited to register.

The US-based MAPS program has been developed by leading physicians, scientists and researchers with expertise in Nutritional & Environmental Medicine, Gastronomy, Intestinal Abnormalities, Neurological Disorders, Immune Dysregulation, Mitochondrial issues and Genetics. Training focuses on “best-practices” and optimal clinical outcomes.

Given the range of medical issues found in Autism and Special needs patients, training will include treatment approaches that help with the general population including asthma, allergies, ADHD, anxiety, autism, dyspraxia, eating disorders, infections, OCD, ODD, PANDAS, Sensory Processing Disorder, sleep disorders, Down Syndrome and a range of psycho-neuro-immunological conditions that impact on immunity, development, learning, mood and behavior.

Mindd Integrative Sessions

Featuring Dr Kelly Brogan



The Mindd Integrative training is focused on helping practitioners achieve optimal clinical outcomes for the patient. Lectures, panels and a workshop will feature case studies and research as it relates to effective treatments.

Training will educate practitioners in a range of effective therapies including biomedicine, bio individual nutrition, psychiatry, functional neurology, neuro-developmental, behavioural and natural therapies. The topic of "maternal transfer" and caring for the mother will also be explored.

Dr Kelly Brogan, Psychiatrist will run a workshop on effective treatments for women and mothers with a focus on psycho-neuro endocrinology and immunology.
